The Cardinal is one of only two programs in the nation to have appeared in every NCAA Tournament since the NCAA Championship began in 1981. Stanford has won more NCAA Tournament matches, made more Final Four appearances and been in the national championship match more times than any other program in the nation.

John Dunning
Only a few in the history of the sport can match head coach John Dunning’s success on The Farm. The AVCA Hall of Famer won an NCAA title in his first season with the Cardinal program (2001) and has kept the program among the nation’s elite. While at Stanford, he has accomplished the following:
